A BIRD TO MY EAR

A bird to my ear ...
"Do you want my wings?"
"What will you do without your wings" I said,
"I'll wait till you come back ..."
"no you know the dangers of this world?
you without wings ...
you might die, you are accustomed to
fly above the pain,
in your blue endless sky ...
the pains are on the earth
you glide above so gently ... "I said
"I want to try the pains of this world"
"I will not allow it! you belong to heaven
